Today I went to see a
*ROUGH-LEGGED BUZZARD*, reported in the past days, just 40 minutes away from my home. The bird was on the fields between Marano Lagunare and Muzzana (UD), perching on some low trees and sometimes taking off. Seen and photographed very well (see pics below); also hovering and soaring above the car. In the surrounding fields also:
Hen and
Marsh Harrier,
Merlin (1x f),
Lapwing,
Snipe,
Mistle Thrush,
Great Grey Shrike (1x),
Linnet and several
Roe Deers (about 100x!).

On the way to Marano, two
Alpine Chamoises were seen from the motorway (at Cave di Selz - GO) and a stop at Strassoldo-Palmanova (UD) produced about 40x
