In the afternoon, Isola della Cona held: 3 Black-winged Stilts, 1 WOOD SANDPIPER, 1 female Hen Harrier, +20 GARGANEYS, 4 Little Ringed Plovers, several Snipes, 1 Redshank, 1 Red-breasted Merganser, 2 Ravens, 6 Green Sandpipers, Lapwing, 2 BLACK-TAILED GODWITS (one in breeding plumage), 1 female Ferruginous Duck in the freshwater marsh, Pintail, 1-2 Penduline Tits, 4 Pochards, 5 Marsh Harriers (the local pair + other probably on migration), 1 SWALLOW, 1 Sparrowhawk, 3 RUFFS. In the area also 4 Grass Snakes and lots of singing EUROPEAN TREE FROGS in the evening.
