Night activity

Some updates from the past few days:

Local patch (M.Grisa): the Nightjar's evening activity is still good with two singing males plus another bird calling nearby (female?). The territory is in fact quite small especially because the two birds are singing quite close to each other. I managed to get some short views on one (or two?) of the birds while they were flying overhead (just few meters above my head). I've actually seen one at dusk too, when it flew over the car park. In the area always present the quite noisy Edible Dormice (one seen always on the same tree) and one Eastern Hedgehog.

Yesterday evening (22.00 pm) one of the by now "usual" encounters with a Beech Marten on the road. This time one was just sitting in the middle of the road near Cerovlje (TS) with a prey in its mouth. It then moved very calmly to the side of the road and sat there for another while, giving great views.

Local patch: Golden Oriole always present "in the backyard" (nearby wood actually) delivering its song on a daily basis.

That's all for now!
